Trade Show Magic in San Antonio for Agilent

I recently worked with Agilent to build crowds at their trade show booth in San Antonio. The convention was for the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists which I’ve now performed at for 3 years. I love repeat shows because I get to see old friends and make news ones.

Agilent invited me to perform magic to build crowds and talk about their products. Specifically, they asked me to mention their newest products, daily teaching sessions, and a raffle where they gave away 3 Amazon Echos. This was a huge success since our sessions were full and the raffle was quite popular.

The show ran for three days and I performed magic typically every 15 to 20 minutes. This mainly depended on the amount of traffic and attendees already in our booth. For example, I would start a show if there were a lot of people roaming the isles and the booth was empty. However, I would wait to start a show if our booth staff was already occupied with potential customers.

The location of the performance area plays a major role to the success of my performances. In this show, I performed on the corner of the isle beside the main walkway. This position allowed me to build a crowd on both sides of our booth. We were lucky to have a booth with a meeting space across from my performance area. This meant that I could build a large crowd in the aisle without affecting those around us.

Booth training also plays a major role on the success of the shows. I teach staff member how I build crowds, the best way to capture leads, and how to invite attendees into the booth. I also perform and teach the staff the three card monte. These custom magic cards really help to get the crowd into the booth.

In addition to training the staff, I like attending so that I understand what products are going to be displayed and where they are located. I take pride in learning about products that attendees think that I’m an employee of the company. It’s always a highlight for me when someone asks what position I hold in the company.

I would love to work with you to make your next trade show a success. Click on the button below to start a conversation on how we can work together to increase your ROI.
