I once again performed trade show magic for Agilent at their booth here in Denver. This time it was a conference for AOAC. They bring together government, industry, and academia to establish standard methods of analysis that ensure the safety and integrity of foods and other products that impact public health around the world. As you can image, the convention halls were filled with brilliant people.
The trade show was was held in the convention center at the Sheraton in downtown Denver. Luckily, the hotel is only a few blocks away from my home, so it makes packing a breeze. I filled my bags with my magic props and made sure my microphone and speaker were ready to go. I then took a 5 minute Lyft ride to the hotel.
Agilent hired me to build crowds, entertain, and educate attendees about their products. I mainly talked about their new 8890 GC and it’s touchscreen capabilities. They also asked me to highlight their Cannabis Testing Lunch seminar. I brought people into the booth to register for the seminar and handed out flyers that gave them more information.
To entice people to come into our booth, we promised to teach them a game of three card monte. I first performed the con while jokingly placing bets with the audience. Then the crowd was amazed with a surprise magical finish. If attendees wanted to learn how to con their friends, they were asked to come into the booth to get a set. Click here to watch a video of me performing this routine for a trade show audience.
I would love to work with you to build and educate crowds at your booth. Send me a message or call to learn more about how trade show magic will increase your ROI.
