Last weekend, I wrapped up my 4th Rocky Mountain Session. Every year, I produce this convention to give back to the magic community here in Denver. My goal is to educate magicians on how to be better entertainers and give them an opportunity to network with one another to share ideas and secrets.
The Rocky Mountain Session took place at the Marriott at Gateway Park. This location is fantastic due to the proximity to the airport and their free airport shuttle. We had 6 lecturers, 3 shows, and a dealers’ room filled with magic for attendees to purchase. We had a total of 55 attendees from all over the world. People typically fly in a day earlier on Thursday and then hang until the end of the convention on Sunday.
I was excited to fly in our lecturers Danny Archer from Philadelphia, John Bannon from Chicago, Nathan Kranzo from Michigan, Steve Aldrich from Montana, Tony Cabral from Massachusetts, and Rui Yamagishi all the way from Japan.
They knocked it out of the park with their original material. It was fun watching so much unique magic from incredible performers. I was proud to see Rui Yamagishi and Steve Aldrich receive standing ovations for their shows and lectures.
