After I performed walk-around mentalism for Samsung and Verizon in Denver, I was invited to perform the following week in Los Angeles, Phoenix, and Oakland. I quickly booked my flights on Sunday to fly out to the shows on Tuesday. Usually, I prefer booking events at least a month out, but luckily my schedule allowed for such short notice.
The team selected fantastic rooftop venues at each location. In Los Angeles, we were at the Ace Hotel in downtown. The rooftop provided a beautiful view of the city. In Phoenix, the event was held at the Buttes Marriott Resort which had a beautiful view of the mountains. However, it was 115 degrees that day, so I stayed inside as much as possible. And finally, in Oakland we were at a hip restaurant called Oeste. You can see the rooftop deck where I’m with Sandy in the above photo.
Over the three days, I performed for over 300 people. My most popular mentalism routine was where I make someone’s hand grow and shrink. It’s a very odd feeling, so ask me about it when you see me at an event or the Denver Magic Show.
Next week, I’ll be on my way to Philadelphia to wrap up the tour. It’s been a pleasure to meet and work with such incredible people. The teams at the events have been helpful and very professional. I’ve also had fun learning about how new technology works before it’s released.
