After a successful show with 1stdibs in Denver, they invited me to perform walk-around magic in Los Angeles. The event was held at Employees Only which is a prohibition-style bar in West Hollywood. Once again, I entertained with magic during their cocktail hour as people mingled and talked with 1stdibs team members.
Here is what the event producer Lily Walter said about my performance:
“William was a pleasure to work with. He was prompt with booking details, arrived early, and was completely professional throughout the event. He awed our guests and added a layer of sophisticated whimsy to our event.”
The event had around 120 people in attendance and everyone was ready to be entertained (an open bar helps). I performed walk-around magic in small groups of 5 to 8 people. As I entertained, I generated interest in 1stdibs new products. Once again, their custom playing cards were a huge hit. Everyone was especially excited when they learned that they could take home a set of the cards.
After the show, I took my clients to the famous Magic Castle in Hollywood. We saw three amazing shows and I gave them a tour of the historic mansion. I was also able visit my friends who were performing in the Parlor and Peller Theater. The highlight of the night was being able to visit with Bill Goodwin who is the Magic Castle librarian and a brilliant magician. His magic is so incredible that I invited him to lecture at the Rocky Mountain Session back in 2018.
As luck would have it, there was a magic convention taking place on Friday and Saturday in Culver City. So, I decided to stay the weekend to catch up with old friends and learn about new magic on the market. I even learned a few new tricks that I will be debuting in upcoming shows. So, stay tuned!
I’d love to work with you to make your next event magical. I’m available if you need magic in Los Angeles, Denver, or anywhere else in the world. Click here to send me a message.
